Courses

  • Whether you are looking to start running for the first time, return to running after years of not or have tried running before but never been able to crack it, Coast Road Runners 0-5km (couch to 5k) running course could be just what you need to get you up and running.
  • Or if you have been running for a while but don’t seem to be able to move beyond 5km, Coast Road Runners 5-10km running course can help you to get to the longer distance.

0-5km Course

The 0-5km course or Couch to 5k is designed for people who are complete beginners that want to learn to run for the first time or are looking to get back in to running after years of not running. It is suitable for adult men and women of all fitness levels, age, shapes and sizes and there is no previous running experience needed. To date, people’s ages have ranged from age 18 to age 61. If you are not fit now you will be by the time you complete our 0-5km running course so if you want to get fit, your journey to fitness starts here.
And for the first time ever we started a mother/father and buggy baby 0-5km running course in Clontarf in April 2023. See below for further details.

Corporate

Be part of Ireland’s nationwide campaign of Getting Ireland Active by getting your staff active. There are three options available, depending on your company’s business needs and location.

  1. New Corporate Virtual 0-5km Course
With so many people currently working from home, Coast Road Runners have launched a brand new Corporate Virtual 0-5km Online 0-5km running course. This will help your staff to feel connected to one another and to your business while they are working apart. At the same time they will get much needed fresh air, exercise and headspace, all of which have reduced with the current working from home environment. So help your staff to improve their physical and mental health by supporting and encouraging them to take part in a virtual 0-5km running course together despite being physically apart.
  2. Tailored 0-5km Course
If your business is based along Dublin Bay, Sir John Rogerson’s Quay, North Wall Quay or East Point, Coast Road Runners can run a lunchtime 8 week 0-5km running course exclusively for your staff. The course consists of 2 lunchtime sessions per week lasting approximately 45/50 minutes. You can choose the 2 days at the outset of the course (Mon/Wed, Tues/Thur or Wed/Fri). The days cannot change during the course. Minimum group size 10 people. Note: Due to COVID-19 this option is currently unavailable.
  3. Evening 0-5km or 5-10km Course
Encourage your staff to do one of the evening running courses in Clontarf or Sandymount by either contributing in full or in part to the course fee of €115. Click here for details of when the next course is starting.
